These Terms and Conditions govern all Competitions operated by Imperium Competitions Ltd (“Promoter,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By participating in any of our Competitions, you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions, which form a binding contract between you and the Promoter. Please read them carefully before entering.

  1. The Competition

2.1 Scope: These terms apply to all Competitions listed on the Promoter’s website at www.imperiumcompetitions.co.uk (“Website”).

2.2 Skill-Based Requirement: Some Competitions are skill-based and require participants to correctly answer a question (“Competition Question”) or complete a task to enter.

2.3 Free Entry Route: Where an online entry fee applies, a free entry route is available. See Section 3.7 for details.

2.4 Competition Details:

  • Each Competition is described on its dedicated page on the Website, including Prize details, entry requirements, and relevant deadlines.
  • A maximum number of entries may apply, as specified on the Website.
  1. How to Enter

3.1 Competition Period:

The Competition will run from and including the Opening Date and Closing Date specified on the Website. All dates and times are listed in GMT unless otherwise specified.

3.2 Changes to Dates:

The Promoter reserves the right to change the Opening or Closing Dates if absolutely necessary. Any changes will be displayed on the Website. The Promoter will not extend the Closing Date solely to increase the number of entries.

3.3 Deadline for Entries:

All Competition entries must be received by the Promoter no later than the specified time on the Closing Date. Entries received after this time may be disqualified without a refund.

3.4 Maximum Entries:

Each Competition will have a maximum number of entries, as stated on the Website. If the maximum number of entries is reached, no additional entries will be accepted.

3.5 Entry Limits:

Entrants may enter a Competition as many times as they wish, subject to the following:

  • The maximum number of entries per user, as stated on the Website, must not be exceeded.
  • Free entries must be submitted individually. Bulk entries in one envelope will be treated as a single entry.

3.6 Online Entry Process:

To enter a Competition online, follow these steps:

(a) Visit the Website and select the desired Competition.

(b) View and answer the Competition Question or complete the required skill-based task.

(c) Select the desired number of entries.

(d) Complete the checkout process, including submitting the online registration form.

(e) Make the payment to confirm your entry and receive your order confirmation.

(f) Repeat the process if you wish to purchase additional entries, within the maximum allowed.

3.7 Free Entry Route:

Participants may enter a Competition for free by following these steps:

(a) Write your entry details on an unenclosed postcard and send it via first or second-class post to the Promoter’s postal address: 6 Cairnside, Aberdeen, AB15 9NZ

(b) Include the following information on the postcard:

– Full name

– Address

– Contact telephone number and email address

– Name of the Competition and if applicable, your answer to the Competition Question

(c) Submit each free entry individually in a separate envelope. Bulk entries will not be accepted and will count as a single entry.

(d) Ensure that your entry is legible, complete, and received before the Closing Date. Proof of posting does not guarantee entry.

(e) Entrants must have a registered account on the Website with matching details. Entries from individuals without a registered account will not be processed.

3.8 Language Requirement:

All entries must be submitted in English. Entries submitted in other languages will be disqualified without refund.

3.9 Acknowledgment of Entry:

The Promoter will send confirmation for online entries, including allocated ticket numbers. Free postal entries will not receive acknowledgment.

3.10 Responsibility for Submission:

The Promoter is not responsible for entries that are incomplete, lost, delayed, or not successfully submitted due to technical issues, equipment failure, or other reasons outside the Promoter’s control.

3.11 Agreement to Terms:

By submitting an entry, whether online or via the free entry route, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and enter into a binding contract with the Promoter.

  1. Choosing the Winner

4.1 Winner Selection Process:

  • All valid entries, including paid and free entries, will be included in the draw.
  • The winner will be selected through a random draw conducted using a verifiable random selection method.

4.2 Eligibility for the Draw:

  • Only entrants who correctly answer the Competition Question or fulfill the required skill-based task will qualify for inclusion in the draw.
  • Entries that are incomplete, incorrect, or submitted after the Closing Date will not be eligible.

4.3 Draw Date:

  • The draw will take place as soon as reasonably possible after the Closing Date, but no later than seven (7) days from the Closing Date (“Draw Date”).

4.4 Transparency and Live Draws:

  • The Promoter may conduct the draw live via social media or another platform specified on the Website.
  • All eligible entrants’ names and ticket numbers may be included in a spreadsheet visible during the live draw.

4.5 Opting Out of Name Disclosure:

  • If you do not wish for your name to appear in the live draw or in any published materials, you must contact the Promoter at info@imperiumcompetitions.co.uk at least 48 hours before the draw takes place.

4.6 Winner Notification:

  • The winner will be notified via email and phone within five (5) working days of the Draw Date.
  • It is the entrant’s responsibility to ensure that contact details provided at the time of entry are accurate and up to date.

4.7 Unclaimed Prizes:

  • If the winner cannot be contacted or fails to claim the Prize within twenty-one (21) days of the Draw Date, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternate winner from the remaining eligible entries using the same random selection process.

4.8 Publication of Winners:

  • The Promoter will publish the winner’s full name and town/county of residence on the Website.
  • If you object to your name or location being published, you must notify the Promoter at info@imperiumcompetitions.co.uk before the Closing Date. However, the Promoter may still provide this information to relevant regulatory authorities upon request.

4.9 Final Decision:

  • The Promoter’s decision regarding any aspect of the Competition, including the draw, is final and binding. No correspondence or discussion will be entered into regarding the outcome.

5.1 Minimum Age Requirement:

  • Competitions are open to individuals aged 18 years or older at the time of entry.
  • Entrants may be required to provide proof of age upon request by the Promoter. Acceptable forms of proof include a valid passport, driving license, or other government-issued identification.

5.2 Residency Restrictions:

  • Competitions are only open to residents of the United Kingdom, unless otherwise stated.
  • The Promoter may accept entries from other jurisdictions if explicitly mentioned in the Competition details, but it is the entrant’s responsibility to ensure compliance with local laws governing participation in such Competitions.

5.3 Excluded Individuals:

  • Employees, agents, contractors, and affiliates of the Promoter, as well as their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling, grandparent, or anyone residing in the same household), are not eligible to participate.
  • Professional advisors or consultants involved in the administration of the Competition are also prohibited from entering.

5.4 Legal Compliance:

  • By entering a Competition, entrants confirm they are legally eligible to participate and that their participation does not breach any laws in their country of residence.

5.5 Verification of Eligibility:

5.7 Entry Limits and Conditions:

  • Multiple entries are permitted, but entrants must adhere to the terms for both paid and free entry methods. Bulk entries submitted under the free entry route may be treated as a single entry.

5.8 Disqualifications:

  • The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if their conduct is deemed inappropriate, fraudulent, abusive, or contrary to the spirit of the Competition. Examples of such conduct include, but are not limited to:
  • Providing false or incomplete information.
  • Engaging in abusive behavior towards the Promoter, its staff, or other participants.
  • Attempting to tamper with or manipulate the Competition, Website, or random selection process.
  • Breaching any of the terms outlined in these Terms and Conditions.

5.9 Ineligibility for Refunds:

  • Disqualified entrants will forfeit their entry fees, and no refunds will be issued under the following circumstances:
  • The entrant is found to be ineligible after entry submission.
  • The entrant’s disqualification is due to fraudulent, abusive, or otherwise unacceptable conduct.

5.10 Impact of Changes in Eligibility Criteria:

  • If an entrant’s eligibility status changes after entering a Competition (e.g., a change in residency or legal restrictions), it is their responsibility to notify the Promoter immediately.
  • The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify such entrants and determine whether a refund is applicable.

5.11 Fraudulent Activity and Tampering:

  • Any entrant found engaging in the following activities will have their entries declared void and may face further consequences, including legal action and permanent exclusion from future Competitions:
  • Fraudulent misrepresentation or concealment of information.
  • Unauthorized access to the Website or hacking.
  • Using automated software, bots, or similar mechanisms to gain unfair advantages.

5.12 Special Conditions for Prizes Requiring Licenses or Qualifications:

  • For certain Prizes, such as vehicles or experiences requiring licenses or certifications, entrants must meet the necessary qualifications.
  • Winners unable to meet these requirements may forfeit the Prize, and no alternative will be offered unless explicitly stated by the Promoter.

5.13 Promoter’s Right to Final Decision:

  • The Promoter’s decision regarding eligibility is final. No correspondence or appeals will be considered once a decision has been made.

5.14 Participation on Behalf of Others:

  • Entries must be submitted on an individual basis. Participants may not submit entries on behalf of another person unless explicitly authorized in writing by the Promoter.
  • Prizes must be claimed by the registered entrant unless prior written permission is granted by the Promoter.

5.15 Changes to Eligibility Requirements:

6.2 Prize Ownership and Condition:

  • The Promoter either owns the Prize or will purchase it specifically for the Competition before awarding it to the winner.

  • It is the winner’s responsibility to comply with local laws and regulations regarding the receipt and use of the Prize.

6.7 Prizes That Require Licenses or Certifications:

  • If the winner cannot meet these requirements, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the Prize or offer an alternative at their sole discretion.

6.8 Vehicle Prizes:

  • The vehicle will include a valid MOT (if required).
  • No insurance, road tax, or fuel costs are included. These are the sole responsibility of the winner.

6.9 Travel and Experience Prizes:

6.10 Prize Delivery or Collection:

  • Delivery within the UK is free unless otherwise specified. For international deliveries, additional fees may apply.

13.7 No Guarantee for Prize Alternatives: Refunds are not available for Prizes once claimed or if the winner opts for a cash alternative.
